Vintage ConditionsThe Hunter Valley had a relatively dry Winter for the beginning of the growing season with an unseasonably warm and dry August in 2006 and veraison early occurring in late December. The weather in early January was hot and dry which meant harvest started early on 15 January. The hot and dry conditions continued all the way through harvest provding excellent fruit with rich and powerful concentration.
Vinification and MaturationThe handpicked fruit was brought to the winery in excellent condition retaining freshness and quality. The grapes were destemmed and crushed, and only the highest quality free run juice was cold fermented with special yeast for a period of three weeks. After fermentation the wines was stored cold on gross lees for a short period of time after which it was blended, filtered and bottled.
We offer combined delivery for wine (750ml) and spirits (700ml) bottles for up to 12.
